I cannot get this working on my Android LG phone... I bought it like a month ago and really wanna use it to make 8 bit music. I understand it's discontinued now as I tried to re-install? Can I just install the new version or what do I need to do? Thanks
The new version of Kontrol is called Pocket Punk. It's also available on Google Play making it easier to receive automatic updates. The new version will go through updates and hopefully grow into a more developed product over time. Let me know how your installation goes.

Any way to save an load beats?
Currently, there is no save option. But if you don't close the app it should remain where you last left it.
